                      CHICAGO SPIRE
The Chicago Spire is a skyscraper located in Chicago, United States that began building on June 25, 2007.

 History: 
The project was led by Fordham Company promoter Christopher T. Carley. The building was to include a hotel and condominiums and also contained a high transmission antenna. On March 16, 2006, the initial design of the building was unanimously approved at the meeting of the Chicago Plan Commission9 and on March 23, 2006, the same happened at the city zoning committee meeting. On March 29, 2006, Chicago City Council also approved the design.10 Within the approval process, the City Council approved a measure that raised the height limit of the plot to allow the construction of this 609-foot-high tower.

This project was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava Perkins and Will, the structural engineer is Thornton Tomasetti and the promoter is Shelbourne Development Group.

This project, which began in 2007 with the intention of residential use with an area of 280.000m25 and 150 plants in those floors 1200 apartment and with a height of 609m is not finished. In 2010 it was decided to paralyze the project for a crisis although there were already many people who had bought an apartment and had bought the land was not built.
